THE BRIEF

StAustell required something that would allow them to customize their website to the absolute max. This involved all content, management of over 100 micro sites for their pubs and restaurants, offers, products, news and careers.

Steadweb Ltd was tasked with not only providing a custom solution to the above, but to also build the website on top that would consume this. A fresh new design along with consuming the brand new CMS to be built was on the cards.

Later features included RBAC (role based authentication), microsite management and geographical pub search, all built on the same platform.

THE SOLUTION

With the brief in hand, Steadweb Ltd started out building a framework that would encapsulate what would be a complete and custom CMS solution for StAustell Brewery. This included the ability to create custom pages, news, product management, user authentication and menu management.

Further to the brief, new requirements landed, and StAustell required an extension which disaplyed over 100 pubs in on a map with geographical searches and micro site management of each pub.

The stack for this build includes PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap.

THE RESULTS

StAustell ended up a brand new website powered by a powerful custom CMS built in PHP, Laravel and MySQL, including an administration panel that allowed them to customize all aspects of their website, control who has access and micro management of over 100 pubs.

Steadweb Ltd was able to deliver this in a short space of time, on budget and handle additional incoming requests. The deployment of this project was handled elsewhere, but sits on an apache server running PHP 7.x.
